CREMONA – There are those who are not running for re-election, those who are running for re-election in other parties, new faces and well-known faces who haven’t been seen for a few years. But not only. This year’s electoral round will see two new entries into Cremonese politics, but their surnames are already known in the community. As they say, from father (and mother) to son: in the lists of Brothers of Italy for the municipal council of Cremona they will also run Pietro Nolli And Nicola Tinon De Bonaboth born in 2004.
The first is the son of the former deputy mayor of the Perri council, Roberto Nolli. The second is the son of the former Councilor for Culture, again with Oreste Perri, Irene Nicoletta De Bona. Both historical faces of the center-right and, above all, both in the only center-right administration in the history of Cremona. A good omen for them?
«On the eve of my eighteenth birthday – says Nolli jr – I began to be interested in politics and as I learned more I made the decision to run for office.. I believe in the program Portesani and Fdi and I believe that the city, after ten years of leftism, needs a change. Cremona has great untapped potential, starting from its sporting excellence.”
It is the former councilor De Bona who publicly announces his son Nicola’s candidacy on Facebook, explaining: «I decided to run because I realized that Cremona today is a dead city with few opportunities for young people. Little decoration and the center is empty. I would like to give a boost to the city by focusing on the creation of a real university city, on the redevelopment of the center and green areas, on stopping the shopping centers and on valorising the Po. I believe in the values of family, spirituality and freedom of the FDI”. And a look at the new projects: «I like Arvedi’s proposal to return the Tognazzi cinema to the city as a place where young people gather». Even though neither of them is yet a member of the party, “the intention is to join soon.”
