These are statements issued by the director Perinetti to the microphones of Prima Tivvù: “The euphoria must last three days. Time to hug families again. Then you will need maximum concentration. We don’t know who we will face but it will certainly be a valid opponent otherwise it would not reach the quarter-finals of the playoffs.
We have changed a lot after a negative season, the one we inherited. Changing a lot never helps, but we have built a healthy group with important professionals. Union counts, we must abandon the “I” and continue to cultivate the “We”. We have many alternatives, which can be our strength. Ten minutes can be enough to be decisive. Patienza guided the balance with wisdom and attention.
The January transfer window? Pazienza was unable to take part in the January transfer market and it was right to give him functional players in January. Thanks to them the coach was able to better express his football beliefs.
Avellino favorite? I think it’s almost impossible to say who the opponent to beat in the playoffs is. Maybe Vicenza. We have time to improve our outside shooting which, due to its characteristics, we have made little use of so far.
Patierno? He would offer a dinner for the title of top scorer to his teammates… What I always tell him is that the most important goal is the next one. He certainly did very well, but the best is yet to come.
Do you favor playoffs? I hope we won’t face teams from our group again, because we’ve beaten many of them over and over again, but it’s purely a matter of cabal. I wouldn’t want them to play a trick on us… We are aware that we have a mission to accomplish. We have a large property. Until the last moment for D’Agostino and the public we must give our best.”
