Workers working day and night to complete the infrastructural upgrading of the section by tomorrow, in order to reopen it as per the timetable. In August a new closure to strengthen Viadotto Soleri.
They are nearing completion i infrastructural improvement works on the Cuneo-Fossano railway section, which should be completed by tomorrow. Since last April 25th, trains have not run on the section in question, where an infrastructural and technological update is underway which will allow us to have in the future freight trains and passenger trains that are heavier than those currently circulating.
Upon completion of the operation, from 2 to 31 May, trains will proceed at reduced speed in the Centallo station area and in other areas of the route to allow full settlement of the tracks, given that in some places they have been removed and rested. Consequently, trains on the Cuneo-Turin route (and vice versa) will arrive at their destination with a delay of approximately five minutes after the normally scheduled time, with the classic timetable returning to force from June. The periods of total closure of the Cuneo-Fossano stretch have not yet been completed for this year. In all likelihood, in fact, replacement buses will return throughout the month of August to allow the workers to proceed with the work in question and above all with the extraordinary maintenance of Viaduct Soleri.
