Piazza Vittorio Emanuele for now it’s a “chessboard”: temporary patches, to avoid accidents. In via Cardinal Tosi, instead, the flooring is experiencing a decisive facelift.
These are “long weekend” days, but in the historic center of Busto Arsizio work is underway to guarantee safety and decorum where the slabs are damaged. In the street leading to Piazza San Giovanni, the workers went into action to restore the tiles and recompose the original design.
The situation in the square overlooked by Palazzo Marliani Cicogna is more delicate. Here, in fact, restoration interventions have taken place over the years, but the “dance” of the slabs has never been definitively interrupted. Every time maintenance was ordered, not much time passed and they were ruined again. Pieces still fell off, with dangers for everyone, starting with pedestrians and cyclists.
Waiting for a definitive solution, in recent days we have therefore proceeded with the repairs where the broken tiles had been removed. An initiative that did not receive applause for the aesthetic impactthe intent, however, is to avoid that someone stumbles and accidents occur, for example involving children.
