Sexual violence against a 17-year-old minor, the young Latin man arrested was heard as part of the guarantee interrogation
The 25-year-old from Latina, Alessio Buda, was questioned by the judge for preliminary investigations, Laura Morselli. Buda, accused of aggravated sexual assault on a minor, explained to the magistrate, in response to questions, that he had not groped the minor at all, denying any wrongdoing. The defense lawyer Guerrino Maestri, at the end of the interrogation, asked for a less afflictive measure than arrest and the investigating judge Morelli reserved his position pending the opinion which will have to be issued by the deputy prosecutor Marco Giancristofaro.
The young man’s arrest dates back to April 24th. Following detailed investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Latina, the Carabinieri of the Latina station arrested the 25-year-old from Latina on charges of sexual assault.
The Carabinieri’s investigations originated following a complaint from the victim, who told the police how, about a month ago, after having joined some friends in the centre, in Piazzale dei Bonificatori, and started walking around video content for her social page, she was joined by the young man who, taking her from behind, first groped her, and then put his hand in her trousers. The young man allegedly approached her when the minor left her group of friends to shoot videos and publish them on Tik Tok. This is where the approach of the 25-year-old who only knew the girl who was not yet eighteen was made by sight.
To the resistance of the victim, who attempted to free himself, the man allegedly grabbed the girl by the arm, pulling her towards him, putting his hand under her shirt in an attempt to grope her again and addressing her with vulgar appreciation.
Only the screams of the victim, which brought other young people present at the scene of the events closer, would have made the man give up his intentions, and he walked away, losing track of himself.
The immediate investigations by the Carabinieri made it possible to identify the perpetrator of the crime against whom, in consideration of all the elements collected, at the end of the investigation, the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Latina, Laura Morselli, issued a precautionary custody order under house arrest.
