Ivo Cagliari, a well-known and respected figure in Guastalla, the town where he lived, was overcome by an illness that Ivo Cagliari had been fighting for several months. He was 72 years old. His death occurred at the Guastallese hospital, where he had been hospitalized for about a month due to his worsening health conditions. He had worked for a long time as a printer in important companies in the Bassa. And for some time, years ago, he had also been a partner in a restaurant business in Guastalla. He was also involved in volunteering, until recently bus driver for disabled children assisted by the Anffas association. A cheerful person, always smiling and optimistic, he was often in company: “It was very difficult to see him around alone”, recalls a friend. “A man… from the slums, always ready to party with others, in the name of true friendship”, adds another long-time friend of his. He was passionate about sports. And at the Guastalla sports field he took care of the bar service at half-time of the local football team’s matches. He leaves behind his daughters Simona and Silvia, his sons-in-law, grandchildren, his brothers Claudio and Giuseppe, and other relatives. The funeral home is set up at the civil hospital of Guastalla. The funeral, entrusted to the Veronesi and Pederzoli agency, will take place this afternoon, leaving at 3pm from the hospital to reach the nearby basilica of Pieve. After the religious service, the coffin will be transferred to Mantua, awaiting cremation. Due to the generosity always shown, any donations in memory of Ivo can be allocated to good works. Numerous messages of condolence reached his family in Cagliari as soon as the news of his passing spread.
