Thirteen parts of the human skeleton. Man, in his 50s, dead for at least three years. The remains were found by two boys in via Vallescura, on the hills of Bologna, in the San Mamolo area and close to via dell’Osservanza. Last Sunday the police inspection confirmed the sighting of the young people, who the day before had reported at home that they had seen something that resembled the remains of a human skeleton.
Belted area
The bones were found within a wooded area by police officers, called by the mother of one and two boys. There were also firefighters on site who removed some fallen trunks and the medical examiner, who helped find the thirteen parts of the skeleton, found in nearby but different places and also next to parts of fallen tree trunks. In addition to the bones there was also a scarf and, about ten meters away, a trekking shoe. The area was cordoned off so as not to contaminate the scene, while the bones were seized and are now kept in the body observation depot inside the Certosa cemetery.
A psychiatric facility in the area
The first analysis on the remains therefore provides the first indications on sex, it would be a man, age, we are in our fifties, and a date of death which dates back no earlier than three years ago and beyond. In the area there are houses and a facility specializing in psychiatric and nervous system diseases right inside the wooded area. But for the moment no one has been able to provide useful information to identify the body discovered by the two boys during a walk over the weekend.
