From 4 to 12 May in the neighborhoods of Legnano
Passi e Crinali, Municipality of Legnano, Associazione Duetti e ½, Oltrespazio present a rich calendar of circus, art and activation in various areas of the city.
Pop Ups obtained the support of Aler and the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation, thanks to the Sottocasa call.
A project that has involved and intends to involve people of any age, cultural, social and ethnic background in paths aimed at revitalizing and culturally reactivating spaces located in undervalued and negatively stigmatized contexts.
“With the intention of valorising – the organizers tell us – skills and resources of the inhabitants to generate inclusive processes in which cultures and diversity can be integrated. The collective construction of temporary works of art (with the collaboration of the set designer Stefano Zullo) will become the materialization of the aggregative, participatory and inclusive processes implemented”.
A series of street and circus shows will also take place, which will involve “Both the inhabitants of the neighborhoods/blocks affected by the intervention, and other members of the public, coming from neighboring municipalities and other neighborhoods of Legnano”.
The areas affected are those of Via Bissolati, Via Caravaggio, Via Carlo Porta.
Guido BragatoCouncilor for Culture, Sport and Events, points out how “Pop up is perfectly in line with some qualifying guidelines of our administration, that is, making all the neighborhoods of Legnano come alive with cultural and artistic initiatives that stimulate people’s participation and their active involvement. A further positive aspect is that these initiatives touch those parts of the city less close to our two civic centres, spreading opportunities for aggregation and socialization there too that can contribute to creating community”.
Participation is free and in case of rain the initiatives may be subject to variations.
