Baldini and handshakes

Silver. The electoral headquarters of the outgoing mayor Andrea Baldini, candidate in the race for the seat of mayor of Argenta, for the second time, in the administrative elections of 8 and 9 June, has been inaugurated. The office is located in Piazza Garibaldi, next to the municipal building.

“Here – said Baldini – you will find us during this campaign. But not only here: also in squares, streets, parks, schools, and in all those places where there is a need. Because we know how to be among people, people, when there is need.”

Then the launch of his slogan “”ever closer, to go even further”. Finally the thrust: “when five years ago I ran for mayor of this city and its territory for the first time – he recalls – I felt a warmth, a strength that I would never have imagined. In that period I shook many hands, and then had the honor of shaking many others. Dry, strong, trembling, wise or inexperienced hands. But every time I learned something.”

“Every hand I shook – continues Baldini – was advice, a story, a project, a commitment. There were moments of discouragement. But there were many, many moments of joy. Today I shook 200 hands. And in the next few days I will count how many I shook in these 41 days before the vote. Those of all of you that I will take with me on this journey and in the next five years, with your suggestions, your ideas and also your criticisms”.

In closing, the invitation to participate on Saturday 4 May, at 5 pm, in the Pieve di San Giorgio park, “in a party, in a meeting to discuss and with the coalition with which we are building our program”.
