Control of the territory: the State Police, in close collaboration with a crew of the Italian Army employed in the “Safe Roads” activity, on Saturday afternoon in Como, reported a 21-year-old Algerian, resident in France and with no criminal record, for aggravated theft in competition .
A complaint from the territory control
Around 5pm on Saturday 27 April, 112 NUE reported a theft of goods by two young people who, after being caught by a sales assistant wearing items of clothing in the dressing rooms, tearing off the anti-shoplifting plates, had fled to the outside the warehouse, chased by the employee.
The intervention was “delivered” to the State Police squads involved in controlling the territory – which on Saturday checked more than 200 people – and also to the Italian Army patrols present in the city centre.
Thanks to the timely descriptions collected and then distributed, one of the two suspects was stopped by a police squad car and an Army patrol in via Cinque Giornate, taken to the police station and identified. Once the ritual procedures were completed, the 21-year-old Algerian was reported in a state of freedom for aggravated theft in competition.
Investigations are underway to identify the accomplice who managed to escape.
