In the late afternoon today, the Ridotto of the Alfieri Theater hosted the draw for the performance order of the Palio degli Bandieratori 2024, scheduled for Saturday 11 May in Piazza Alfieri, the location chosen for the 2024 edition due to the work underway in Piazza San Secondo which make it unusable for the event.
This year there will be 15 groups taking part in the competition. A growing number compared to last year, when 14 competed. Compared to last year’s edition, there are the returns of San Paolo, Moncalvo and Castell’Alfero compared to the absences of San Secondo and San Marzanotto.
The order of performance will be the same as the parade which, opened from Borgo San Lazzaro, will move from Piazza Roma to Piazza Alfieri and which will see the protagonists, in addition to the 15 groups participating in the Paliotto, also the remaining 6 groups.
