ROVIGO – “My commitment is to make Rovigo a city for families, modern and capable of overcoming conflicts”. This was explained by Democratic Party mayoral candidate Franco Palmiro Tosini, who presented the key points of his electoral program on the morning of Monday 29 April.
“Our measures are clear because they are inspired by a specific project, to transform our capital into a welcoming and functional reality – continued Tosini – Act on nursery schools (READ ARTICLE), on rents and on architectural barriers are concrete, economically sustainable and common sense plans. Some of our ideas are inspired by realities close to us, where these projects are reality today. To grow again, Rovigo must do this: abandon sterile arguments, be inspired by good administration and build healthy cooperation in the area.”
For the candidate, supported by his civic list and by the Democratic Party, the priority remains support for those in difficulty. “Helping families and elderly people to fight against the high cost of living is possible – he underlined – Progressively free nursery schools and rent policies subsidized by the Municipality for young couples are important steps, with a double value: on the one hand they reduce economic costs, on the other they make the city attractive for those trying to build a life, finding services and the right incentives”.
All themes, Tosini underlined, which will be explored in depth in the coming weeks of the election campaign. “In this regard, my intention is not to fall into sterile controversies – he concluded – The novelty of these administrative elections is me, who has never had political positions. All the others are, upon closer inspection, people who have already held important roles and who therefore carry the responsibility for the mistakes of the past on their shoulders.”
The local secretary of the Rovigo PD club, Giacomo Prandini, adds on the sidelines of the presentation: “The “Rovigo City for families” project presented today by our mayoral candidate demonstrates, if there had ever been any need, that the choice to support the his candidacy was an act of great generosity and political foresight aimed exclusively at the good of our city.
We are not interested in controversies, grudges, purchasing campaigns or tactics. All those things are part of an ancient political season that has produced the administrative failures of recent years. We, as we also wrote in our manifestos, have “turned the page” for the good of Rovigo and will conduct an electoral campaign of truth and contentment”.
