The Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate confiscated assets worth approximately 500 thousand euros from entrepreneurs convicted as part of the “Low Profile” operation, an investigation coordinated by the DDA of Catanzaro and focused on alleged illicit connections between the ‘ndrangheta gangs of the Crotone area and the world of entrepreneurship.

The Dia thus implemented a sentence of the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro which became irrevocable last February, with which eight subjects who remained involved in the operation were definitively convicted and judged in an abbreviated manner.

The sentence of 12 September 2023 confirmed the confiscation already determined by the Catanzaro investigating judge on 28 October 2021 consisting of a series of assets attributable to 3 entrepreneurs from Cosenza and Turin believed to be operating under the influence of the ‘Ndrangheta premises of San Leonardo di Cutro (Crotone) and Roccabernarda (Crotone), in the territories of Rome, Velletri (Rome), Sellia Marina, Simeri Crichi, Montalto Uffugo (Cosenza) and Roccabernarda (Crotone).

With the irrevocability of the sentence, the entire business portfolio of 5 companies and 2 individual businesses active in the commercial sectors, as well as banking relationships and financial resources, for a total value estimated at approximately 500,000 euros, is definitively confiscated.
