Municipality of Pesaro: Caprile Illuminata

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May returns Caprile Illuminata. The program of this new edition of the event which is part of the rich calendar of events of Pesaro 2024 – Italian capital of culture, is dedicated to re-creations, understood in the dual meaning of delightful entertainment and artistic reinterpretations. In the pleasant setting of the Secret Garden of Villa Caprile, the afternoon of Saturday 25 May includes a refined concert for harp and fortepiano (performed on historical instruments) and two conferences-recitals dedicated respectively to the childhood and adolescence years of Gioachino Rossini and to the glories of a famous banquet held in Paris in 1823, in honor of the Pesaro maestro.
The second day, Sunday 26 May, will open with a morning appointment with the contemporary poetry; in the afternoon they will alternate encounter dedicated to the sumptuous wedding of some Pesaro nobles of the early nineteenth century, one conference-recital on an exceptional ‘premiere’ at the Teatro del Sole in Pesaro (protagonist of the city’s historical-cultural and artistic events of the 17th and 18th centuries), a precious musical homage to Giuseppe Mazzini “guitarist” and, finally, an original dance conference for Antonietta Pallerini, an excellent dancer from Pesaro, who lived as a knight between the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century, to whom Pesaro has recently dedicated the noble hall of Palazzo Gradari.

Caprile Illuminata is edited by: Municipality of Pesaro, Province of Pesaro and Urbino, Marche Region, Rossini Foundation, Pesaro, IIS Cecchi, Pesaro; in collaboration with; Ente Olivieri, Pesaro The Voices of the APS Books and is part of the CAPRILE AGRISHOW XIX EDITION proposal as 2023-24
