TRIESTE – He fell ill while working in the fields, his wife called the ambulance but it was late: sixty-year-old dies. The incident happened this afternoon, April 29th.
The man, suffering from chronic heart disease and diabetes, was working in the fields behind his house when he fell ill. When he returned home, he lay down on the sofa and his wife called the ambulance. All the vehicles were busy with other interventions. The woman called back after a quarter of an hour reporting that her husband seemed to no longer be breathing. The Sores operator offered to explain to her and those present how to carry out the resuscitation maneuvers, Sores explains in a note, but received a firm no. When the health workers finally arrived for the 60-year-old there was nothing left to do.
