PALERMO – 106 new officials were hired this morning by the Sicilian Region. This is the first scrolling of the rankings of the competitions announced in 2022 for Generational Replacement. The signing of the contracts took place at the headquarters of the Public Function Department in Palermo, in the presence of the President of the Region, the Councilor and the General Manager of the Department.
“An important milestone, achieved thanks to the work of the Civil Service department which accelerated bureaucratic times”, as underlined by the President of the Region during the contract signing ceremony. The new hires, who will enter into service on June 3, will cover key roles in various sectors of the administration. They are: 7 lawyers, 13 agronomists, 39 administrative officials, 8 computer scientists, 39 engineers and 7 workers from protected categories. An injection of young forces and fresh skills aimed at improving the efficiency of the services offered to citizens.
40 of those eligible to sign the contracts were missing from the roll call. The renewal process continues: a new scrolling of the rankings is expected after the approval of the Region’s final account, with the aim of placing a further 110 professional figures into service. A decisive step towards a more modern, efficient and close to citizens’ needs regional administration.
