The threats made to Annalisa Savino, head teacher of the Istituto Superiore Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, continue to make noise and cause concern.
One year after her circular following the “Squad attack” at the Michelangiolo high school in Florence in which she explained that indifference was one of the elements that favored the rise of fascism, the teacher was the subject of three cases of very serious threats, which he reported to the judicial authorities.
“We express great solidarity with the head teacher and profound disdain for the episode of which she is the victim – say the Flc Cgil union – This episode demonstrates that in this country there still exists a subculture that targets the values of anti-fascism and those who carry them forward . There is a climate in which the cornerstones of welcoming and inclusive public schools are being attacked, it is important to rally together to defend education within the framework of the values of the Constitution, as Florence already did in March 2023″.
Vannino Chiti, president of the Tuscan Historical Institute of the Resistance and the Contemporary Age, also expressed his support. “Strong closeness and profound solidarity”.
