Vote on the Ghilana. Italia Viva: “Worrying signal given to entrepreneurship”
Descriptive text here

The debate on the vote in the city council that split the majority is not going away. The urbanization of the Ghilana has actually found the Democratic Party, the 5 Star Movement, Italia Viva and Faenza Cresce divided. The first two camps voted to block the project. The other two to allow the builders to continue designing the houses. In the end it was the council of the Union of Romagna Faentina that definitively blocked the project. In the reactions following the vote, the 5 Star Movement pointed the finger at Italia Viva. Today the response of the “Renzian” party: “Italia Viva finds itself once again called into question, speciously and forcefully, by the 5 Star Movement, which from a vote of the city council, very broad in its dynamics, ends up aiming for the finger only against the group leader Grillini.

The case is that of Ghilana, where both the two councilors of Faenza Cresce, and our Grillini, voted against, together with the opposition, the measure definitively blocking the urbanization works on the lot.

Sharing the reasons already released to the press by Faenza Cresce, we add what Grillini reported to the City Council.

Even after the flood, the municipality confirmed to the company that it could proceed with its project, subject to modifications.

The point is after the flood. The signal given to the world of entrepreneurship is worrying and not attractive. From now on, who will want to relate to, and invest in their territory, with those who until the night before dawn did everything they could to carry out the project, only to then have second thoughts practically at the last available second?

Beyond all the technical disquisitions, it could also have been possible as a whole of the project. But immediately, after the flood, with clear and evident planning.

Done like this, this confusion is obviously not good for anyone, and hence our vote against.

The 5 Star Movement should clarify its political position towards Italia Viva once and for all.

We don’t understand how it can happen that from a vote that saw a substantial draw, of twelve councilors against twelve, the fault once again lies solely with councilor Grillini.”
