A 22-year-old man originally from Francofonte in the province of Syracuse was ambushed by gunfire. He, driving his car along the road between Carlentini and Lentini, was flanked by another car, and a hand fired a shot at him from a window which injured him in the leg. He was transported to the emergency room of the Lentini hospital. His life is not in danger. Investigations underway. Among other things, a football motive linked to conflicts between Francofonte and Carlentini fans is also hypothesized.
