May 1st is approaching Labour day, opportunity to put the spotlight on rights, achievements and working conditions of all workers. «Much has already been done in this field, but mobbing in the workplace and the difficulty of reconciling family and work remain the most important issues in the consultancy activity of the Equality Councillor», notes the Equality Councilor Brigitte Hofer. «An important day like May 1st is a reason to celebrate and is an incentive to support and promote a positive corporate culture oriented towards male and female collaborators, based on solidarity and valorization».

Recognizing mobbing requires a comprehensive vision of the situation and its origins.” In the 2021the. was established in the Office of the Equality Councillor Anti-mobbing service to provide employees and employers with information, advice and mediation in cases of mobbing, straining and violence in the workplace. This is a free service that all citizens can turn to.
The Equality Counselor’s second main area of consultancy is reconciliation of family and work. «Balance consists of harmonizing two important areas of life without having to compromise», underlines Hofer: «Working parents should have the freedom to choose how to plan their career and their family».
