An increase that places the Iblean territory in fifth place overall among the Italian provinces, second in Sicily, for increase in employment.
This is the data delivered by the CGIA of Mestre, and disseminated in a specific report.
In fact, from 107 thousand employed in 2019, we go to 117 thousand in 2023. Among these, almost 5 thousand more employed only in the two-year period 2022-2023.

“It is a particularly positive moment for our labor market. – underlines the CGIA – Both for the historical record of employed people and for the increase in the number of those who have a permanent employment contract and, finally, also for the increase, especially in the last year, of the staff with high qualification levels.
In 2023, in fact, the number of employed people in Italy reached 23.6 million units, 471 thousand more than in the pre-Covid period, of which 213 thousand involved the South which was the geographical distribution that recorded the highest percentage increase in the country (+3.5 percent). Furthermore, the forecasts – concludes the CGIA – tell us that the overall stock of employed people is destined to grow further, reaching 24 million workers by 2025″.
