A new black story, made of music, eros and dark emotions. The viewer’s eye will be led into a dark plot that has the flavor of the evil of the world: man against man, life against death, truth against his concealment. It is the heart of the unprecedented production written and directed by the director Piergiorgio Meola: “NoiR”. Okiko the Drama Company returns to the scene May 5th at 6.30pm Traetta theatre.
«It will be a great return to the scene, a new beginning», announces Meola. After the great success of “Perse” at the Traetta and at the Monsignor Aurelio Marena diocesan museum, the company interprets a new story that hides surprises, memories and new emotions. «As a director and playwright – adds Meola – I can only say that for me returning to noir after so many years is wonderful. The energy of the actors is always in continuous development and every time it is a surprise for me to discover how much they are able to grow and shed their skin, all thanks to a perpetual rebirth. It is thanks to their soul that every show is a new adventure.”
The characters of the production were revealed on the social profiles of the theater company, including new and well-known faces. “This time – reveals the director – we find ourselves in a setting shrouded in mystery and sensuality. The characters intertwine their stories and their experiences through moments of cold which create an awareness within each of them and unravel every secret.” While waiting for the debut, the previews increase the public’s curiosity.
«WeR – concludes Meola – was born from a secret dream: to create for the first time a kind of prequel to a show already staged. For those who have always followed us, the reference to one of my first shows as director, “Love to die”, will certainly have caught your eye. In this show it will be revealed how it all began… And there will be no shortage of surprises.”
