Ravenna, La Cassa in support of a project to support bees

A project promoted and financed by the La Cassa di Ravenna Group which involves the creation of a real oasis on land owned by a local farmer/beekeeper with a low biodiversity index. About fifty plants will be planted on this land, including trees and nectariferous shrubs that can create the ideal environmental conditions for the reproduction of bees. An apiary made up of two hives and other waste for wild insects will be placed inside the oasis in order to encourage the repopulation, settlement and reproduction of pollinators. The oasis, which will be built in the municipality of Camugnano in the province of Bologna, will be constantly monitored with detectors capable of continuously updating data on the ecosystem, measuring sounds, temperature, humidity and weight of the hives.
The Cassa thus confirms its 360-degree commitment to the issues of environmental sustainability: in addition to subsidized financing for companies involved in the ecological transition, total adherence to the most stringent procedures regarding waste disposal and environmental controls, this project aimed at bees represents a further concrete commitment in the field, with an important and direct intervention to rebalance biodiversity and with measurable and periodically detectable results to guarantee the quality and effect of the intervention.
