PADUA – The mayor of Solesino Elvy Bentani is experiencing family drama following a illness suddenly hit his daughter last night, April 27th at 6.30pm. The mayor with his wife and his girlfriend, Alice, 26 years old, were walking along Via Roma in the center of Padua when suddenly the daughter collapsed to the ground, putting her hands on her stomach. As luck would have it, a police car passed nearby. The officers immediately sensed the emergency situation and rushed to the aid of the mayor’s daughter.

The entire family was escorted to the car. The officers also offered to transport her to the city hospital, but Alice’s family said that they would take her to Schiavonia. Throughout the night the young woman underwent clinical tests to evaluate her clinical picture and above all to understand what had caused the sudden illness. She is currently in the operating room undergoing a delicate surgical procedure. From his Facebook page Elvy Bentani apologized to his fellow citizens, reporting that he will be away from the town hall for the time necessary to look after his daughter in a moment that is anything but simple.
