Let’s go to the beautiful one. With a clear and never in doubt victory, Virtus takes revenge after the bad defeat in game 1 and brings the series to the decisive game 3 scheduled for Wednesday 1 May at 6pm at the Segafredo Arena. On the parquet of the PalaMinardi in Ragusa there was practically never a match, with Cecilia Zandalasini (photo) and her teammates taking to the field with great determination and absolute concentration, leaving behind the waste of the first match of the quarter-final series, and confirmation of the words of coach Vincent who on the eve had spoken of a better performing Virtus on the road. The inertia of the match is immediately on the side of Virtus who at the 5th minute are already ahead 2-16 at the 6th minute. Two triples in a row by Jakubcova only temporarily reduce the gap, because Virtus finds points and energy from all its players, 5 in double figures, taking an 8-21 lead at the first stop. The match is still in the hands of the Bianconere with Ragusa finding its best moment at the end of the second half, coming back within 6 at 24-30 in the 19th minute. The challenge, however, is in the hands of the Bianconere who definitively regain the lead at the start of the third half of the game. At 23′ Zandalasini and her teammates are already +18 at 26-44, an advantage that Virtus not only maintains, but makes even wider, in the last part of the game, when on one side and the other it is extensive use of their rotations, already thinking about game 3.
