Once the curtain has fallen on the thirty-fifth day of the Serie B championship, we can now take a look at the ranking that this last round has left us with. After five consecutive successes, Como’s progress slows down, held back at “Marassi” by Sampdoria: the 1-1 draw against the Blucerchiati considerably complicated the Como team’s march in pursuit of Parma at the top of the league table, and now the Como players will have to first of all watch your back. The successes of Parma and Venezia respectively against Lecco and Cremonese, in fact, allowed the Crusaders to extend the margin of advantage over the team led by Osian Roberts to +5 and the lagoon players to put the Lombard team’s breath back on their necks, now ahead of a single length. Even Cosenza, after the 4-1 inflicted on Bari, distanced itself from the slums of the cadetteria, thus getting into trouble for the cockerels currently relegated to the third to last place. One point ahead of the Apulians are Ascoli, Ternana and Spezia, who will be forced to fight until the last day in order to avoid the play-out nightmare, or perhaps something much worse. FeralpiSalò is now done for, 5 points behind the comfort zone, while the arithmetic relegation of Lecco has sealed the first verdict of the regular season.
