During a service aimed at combating illicit trafficking, carried out by the Sulmona Financial Police,
and the control and restoration of urban decorum, conducted by the local Municipal Police, aimed at identifying
vehicles parked in a state of abandonment, this morning the Fiamme Gialle of Sulmona, directed by the Captain
Cecilia Tangredi, arrested a subject of Italian nationality for possession, for the purposes of dealing, of
cocaine.
During the aforementioned activity, a Fiat “Punto” car was identified, parked in Via L’Aquila,
abandoned and without insurance coverage, registered to an Italian person already known to the Forces
of the Order.
The Local Police Agents contacted the owner of the aforementioned vehicle residing there and, in his presence,
an external vehicle inspection activity was undertaken with the Corps’ canine units. In doing
aforementioned operations, the dog unit reported traces of narcotic substances on the subject. Having i
with well-founded reasons to believe that he possessed narcotic substances, a personal search was carried out
and room of his home.
Thanks to the help of dog units, a quantity of cocaine equal to 57 grams was thus found,
together with two precision scales.
The subject was arrested for possession with the aim of dealing narcotic substances, pursuant to art. 73 of
Presidential Decree 309 of 1990, and the Public Prosecutor ordered the conduct to the Sulmona prison pending
of the hearing to validate the documents of the Judicial Police.
