L’AQUILA – Rugby – A difficult, nervous, at times disjointed match. A handful of seconds were enough to turn the situation around, immediately sealed by the referee’s final whistle. 13 to 14 the final result against US Roma who, however, remain second in the standings, 9 points behind the neroverdi and with a game to recover.
It wasn’t good rugby yesterday at Fattori. A real shame for everyone: the club, the athletes, the public.
In short, Serie A hasn’t arrived mathematically and the Neroverdi will have to go and take it in Sicily, next Sunday, against Messina. And it really will be the final.
Despite the public’s mood, Fattori still embraced everyone present, who remained long after the match. Over 3500 spectators yesterday for the penultimate championship match.

Congratulations to Isweb Avezzano who, yesterday, defeated Livorno, earning, two days early, the right to participate in the new A1 series, by virtue of third place in group 3.
In the same group Paganica lost at home against Cavalieri Prato Sesto.
Yesterday the women’s Serie A was also on the field for the ninth day, which saw the Lupi di Frascati prevail over the Teramo girls, and the interregional U18 with the Rugby Experience which won on the Villa Pamphili field and Pescara which lost at home against the Fiamme Oro.
After the U14 activities which were the protagonists on Saturday in Chieti and Avezzano, yesterday at Fattori there was also the regional minirugby activity for a tournament named in memory of the Neroverde glory Sergio Del Grande.
