These are just some of the subjects of the thirty panels on the cinema locations of Tuscia – set up by the Dmo Tuscia Terra di cinema in collaboration with the Tuscia Film Fest and with the support of the Lazio region – which will enhance the relationship between the big screen and the province of Viterbo as part of an overall film tourism promotion project set up over the last two years and which will be presented and launched next September.
Eight film tourism itineraries and related cinema maps, two photographic exhibitions already held in Italy and Berlin, the publication of a web portal in Italian and English as a hub for collecting all the information on the project and its activities, promotional videos, the book La Tuscia nel cinema by Franco Grattarola, training courses aimed at guides and tourist and cultural operators, participation in sector events.

These are some of the actions of a path that will be further developed starting next autumn and will be made available to local actors to encourage the tourist and cultural promotion of the area.
Promotion which – thanks to the collaboration with the Cineclub del Genio association, leader of the Dmo – will have international outlets in Berlin and starting from 2025 in another major European capital with the organization of collateral events that will be planned on the sidelines of the film festivals Italian organized by the Tuscia Film Fest.
“We immediately embraced the Tuscia project, the land of cinema – declare Roberto Camilli and Rachele Chiani, mayor and councilor for culture of the municipality of Soriano nel Cimino – for its cultural value and tourism promotion but also for its philosophy in which we strongly believe: to finally put not a few realities online but the entire territory of the province of Viterbo. Tuscia, the land of cinema has involved national partners such as the Experimental Center of Cinematography Foundation of Rome, Enit and Ance.
