The third match of the round of 16 of the Del Monte Italian Cup begins, the only Serie A2 match scheduled for the day as Brescia and Reggio Emilia are the only teams that have reached Game 3.
Despite their efforts, the Reggio Emilia team ended their season here, granting a 3-1 victory to Brescia

The third set starts well for Reggio (1-4). Ace by Guerrini (4-7). Wall of the yellow-blues, Brescia shortens (7-9). Mani-out by Preti who holds on to the little advantage still available (11-12). They equalize and then the Toucans lead (16-14). Guerrini’s ace scores the equalizer again (16-16), then finds two more aces and extends the lead (16-18). Monster block by captain Sesto, the Giallorossi don’t give up the +2 (20-22). Set point for Reggio with Sesto’s first half (21-24), canceled out by Klapwijk (22-24). Guerrini’s attack closes the set and takes the match 2-1 (22-25).
Reggio Emilia opens with Caciagli’s first half (3-3). Ace from Brescia who finds space (8-5). The home team extends their lead (12-8). Sperotto comes in to serve for Catellani, but his ball lands in the net (17-12). Catellani returns (18-13). Hands out by Guerrini (20-15). Hands out by Gasparini who tries to shorten (22-18). Set point taken by Erati (24-19), canceled by Cominetti’s error (24-20). Tiberti’s lob closes the match (25-21).
