The dream is reality: Fortitudo Trani wins game 3 against Virtus Galatina 77-76 and can celebrate promotion to the single Serie C, crowning a practically flawless season.
An atmosphere of very different categories that experienced today at the PalaAssi in Trani for the match between Fortitudo and Galatina valid for promotion to Serie C. Bolzoni keeps his team afloat with his triples and the third quarter ends 51-52. At the beginning of the last period Galatina took the lead with a score of 57-61, then overturned 64-63 with a triple from captain Logoluso. Fortitudo, having reached five fouls, complicates the defensive maneuvers, but does not give up under the basket and remains in the game until 71 all, which takes the match to overtime.
The heart-pounding excitement is palpable: the match depends on every detail, Galatina holds its own with free throws, but Fortitudo rebounds with Miccoli and Azzollini and finds the winning shots that put it ahead. It’s just a matter of seconds, at the final whistle the blue and white party can erupt. Captain Logoluso can cut, as usual, the net of the basket: Fortitudo Trani is in Serie C. Children, families and fans flock to the parquet to rejoice with their favorites, writing a new, beautiful page of Tranese sport.
