After a memorable Saturday at the European Championships in Rimini, where Noè Seifert hit the headlines by putting the bronze medal around his neck on the parallel bars (and for the 25-year-old from Aargau it was the first podium in a major international event), Sunday holds no satisfaction for Red Cross delegation. In fact, after having shone in the qualifications – when he took fourth place, with a total of 249.194 points – Seifert himself in the company of Christian Baumann, Taha Serhani and Luca and Matteo Giubellini had to settle for the eighth and final placing in the team test. The Swiss quintet does not have much to complain about, because to get on the podium they still had to exceed 252 points (much more than the 245,359 accumulated in the final), the fact is that the result is still rather disappointing for Switzerland, which last year at the At the World Championships in Antwerp – with the same team for four fifths – he achieved a brilliant fifth place, synonymous with Olympic qualification.
The Romagna team event was won by Ukraine with 255.762 points, leaving Great Britain (255.429) and Italy (252.260) behind.
