Virtus Segafredo Bologna scores another two very important points for the championship. Le Vu Nere, by conquering the Tortona pitch, maintain first place in the standings together with Olimpia Milano and will play for supremacy on the last day of the championship, scheduled for Sunday 5 May at the Segafredo Arena against Trento. These are coach Luca Banchi’s post-match statements:
«I think it is right to congratulate both teams who played a high intensity match. We managed to provide forty minutes of good intensity, with some errors made in the offensive phase resulting from turnovers caused by Tortona’s determination. From a defensive point of view we suffered from their peculiarity of being a team that opens the pitch well, forcing us to ask for more discipline at half-time and I believe that from that point of view we carried out our task adequately. The victory gains value also because Tortona had a positive record in this second round, winning a match of this type away must give us the awareness of being in tune with the intensity that we will have to show in the play-offs».
