The Report Cards | Dinamo Sassari: Jefferson and Tyree the best, but the whole team reacts
Descriptive text here

Away victory for Dinamo Sassari, which interrupts its negative streak and passes on Scafati’s parquet with a score of 74-99. Our opinions on the blue and whites.

Jefferson: 7. He got used to the fact that he could be a factor, which is why something more was expected in the latest releases. He makes sure, both with the management of possessions but above all with his aiming from beyond the arc in the first half, that the game takes a clear direction. He comes close to perfection in his readings for several minutes, then leaves the stage to other companions.

Tyree: 6.5. It scares him when he feels pain in his ankle, he seems to have to give up, but instead he returns to the field and does his duty shooting, with a performance that always grows. His third quarter definitively took Scafati’s breath away, and he saw all his ambitions canceled out even by his impact in the final period. He adds the defense on Robinson in several positive situations.

Kruslin: 6.5. “What if…”. The Croatian’s shooting performance makes us regret the progress of a strange season, in which the relationship with the shot was diametrically opposed to that of last season thanks, obviously, to the different systems built on the parquet. The 4/4 from three from the arc says a lot about his game, which was not affected by some fouls spent too early at the end of the second period.

Charalampopoulos: 6.5. He finally strikes a blow, returning to build one of those performances that were fundamental in Dinamo’s best period. He starts by doing the less obvious things well, especially in defense and rebounding, then in the third period he is the one who lays out the paper to write the final credits with two consecutive triples that quickly bring him into double figures.

Gombauld: 6.5. He does a positive job on Nunge, who suffers from his quicker feet. In the end he enjoys feasting inside the painted opponent.

Diop: 6.5. Dinamo, with its rolling quality, finds a way to go into the pocket several times, an aspect that is then important to make the opposing defense collapse even more. He returns to finish in double figures, as captain even in the final he tries to keep the team’s concentration high before the plug is finally pulled.

Cappelletti: 6.5. All it took was an error in judgment and Markovic’s first swing to get him into the game. Between the first and second period he takes on his directing responsibilities and on more than one occasion creates the right balance to give substance to the Sassari attack. He continues to do his job well in the second half too.

McKinnie: 6. Usual conflicting relationship with fouls, but the intensity is the right one, on the rebound but not only for the former Golden State player. He too, like Kruslin and Charalampopoulos, makes us look more at regrets, because the progress made in recent months had been evident.

Treier: sv. Only a few minutes when Sassari is in a bit of trouble with fouls in the second period.

Gandini: sv. A few minutes at the end to honor his important role for the blue and white locker room.

Pisano: sv.

Raspino: sv.

Coach Markovic: 6.5. Challenge the team in the press conference, wait for a response and get it. Sassari won’t make the playoffs, but they certainly have a coach on the bench who knows how to relate to the players. Even in complex moments. Dinamo returns to playing well offensively also because they restore, at least partially, the defensive intensity that was fundamental in their best period. The heavy shot with high percentages comes from the mix of patience and attack in transition which rightly rewards the team in the end. Pistoia closes all practices for the post-season, but Dinamo leaves the field with the knowledge that they have done their duty for Scafati. Something to replicate against Reggio Emilia too to greet your fans in the best way.
