Sir Susa Vim Perugia wins the second championship in its history by overcoming Monza by 3 sets to 1 in game 4 at the Opiquad Arena. After losing the first set 25-19 Perugia comes back and wins the remaining sets with a score of 23-25, 25-27, 20-25. This is the fourth trophy of the season for Lorenzetti’s men after the Super Cup, Club World Cup and Italian Cup.

At the start of the first set there were a few too many errors in attack for Sir Susa Vim with Plotnytskyi and above all two by Ben Tara (11-9). Semeniuk finds the hook but with Takahashi’s ace Monza gets back to +2. Plotnytskyi struggling in reception is replaced by Leon but Monza extends to 18-13. The captain is stopped against the wall (20-14). Perugia mends the game with Giannelli’s ace but the newly introduced Swzarc does not betray Mint Vero Volley easily takes the set at 25-19 thanks to Maar.
We start again and Lorenzetti leaves Leon on the field. Perugia places the first block of their match and goes to +2. Leon suffers in reception and Monza takes advantage of it. Di Martino’s floppy serve leads to a partial lead that sends Mint Vero Volley up 7-12. Lorenzetti inserts Herrera and Plotnytskyi for Ben Tara and Semeniuk. Leon unleashed first on the block and then on attack, allowing Perugia to get back to -1 (14-15). Sir Susa Vim ahead 18-17 after Di Martino’s first-half error. The Block devils cling to the captain and with Herrera they go ahead 23-21. A miracle from Maar brings Monza back to parity but Giannelli resolves the situation by scoring the point at 25-23.
It is again the blue setter with the attack who places the first break of the third set (4-7) which forces Eccheli to call a timeout. Loeppky is stopped at the net 8-12. Herrera finds continuity in attack (11-16). Monza loses confidence and Perugia extends to 13-19 after Giannelli’s ace. Plotnytskyi gives Sir Susa Vim 4 set points but Monza cancels them all thanks to Takahashi’s turn of service which sends the match to the advantage. Maar’s attacking error was decisive for the 25-27.
Sprint start for Perugia also in the fourth set (5-1). Leon continues to hammer both in attack and in batting. Monza returns to -2 with the block on Plotnytskyi who leaves room for Semeniuk. Vero Volley Monza in confusion and Eccheli also plays the last timeout (14-10) but upon returning to the field another error, this time by Loeppky, paves the way for Sir Susa Vim. Thanks to Di Martino’s turn of service, Monza returns to -1 but Perugia immediately restores the distance with Herrera’s block. Great defense by Semeniuk and a wild Leon takes Sir Susa Vim to 23-18. Semeniuk himself signs the 25-20 seal which is worth the championship.
