Below is the report of the races and the finishing orders, taken from the Brontolo Dice La Sua videos, available on the newspaper’s Facebook page.

The manager of the day was Davide Busatti, who will also be on the Verrocchio Legnano during the Provaccia.

I DRUMS GRAND PRIX

24 C-3PO – G. Piccinnu

1 Andromeda – G. Zedde

Five false starts before the start, which saw Carboni take the lead ahead of Zedde, while Piccinnu remained in the lead. The two-man race is, in fact, a walk in the park as both pairs thus have access to the final, finishing the race in the same positions they took at the start.

5 Zlatan – V. Pusceddu

Quick move this time with Pusceddu taking the lead ahead of Putzu and Bincoletto. In the first laps the situation remains unchanged, while in the last two laps Bincoletto tries to move his horse to attack Putzu who, however, defends himself without major worries and qualifies for the final together with Pusceddu who easily wins the heat.

Order of arrival: 1 V. Pusceddu on Zlatan; 2 M. Putzu on Frari; 3 A. Bincoletto on Er Saponetta

GRAND PRIX FINAL

6 Frari – M. Putzu

1 Andromeda – A. Mula

24 C-3PO – G. Piccinnu

5 Zlatan – V. Pusceddu

Some variations compared to what was decreed by the first battery, with Antonio Mula replacing Zedde on Andromeda and Giuseppe Piccinnu taking Carboni’s place. After three false moves the valid start arrives which sees Pusceddu come out very fast and take the lead ahead of Putzu, Mula and Piccinnu. The race, in fact, was decided on the move with Pusceddu controlling from the first to the last meter and was never worried by Putzu who in turn fended off Mula’s attack attempts well and also broke away from him on the final lap. Thus he wins the Pusceddu Grand Prix, dominating both the heat and the final.

Order of arrival: 1 V. Pusceddu on Zlatan; 2 M. Putzu on Frari; 3 A. Mula on Andromeda; 4 G. Piccinnu on C-3PO

I DRY RUNNING

21 Last Minute – G. Zedde

17 Don Raffaele – C. Sanna

12 The 90s – A. Bincoletto

2 Poison – F. Arri

Long phases of the move with two false starts before a beautiful move that sees Zedde, Arri and Bincoletto start paired, with Sanna slightly further back. At the entrance to the curve, Zedde takes the lead but Bincoletto manages to keep the inside line and overtakes him to move into first position. At the last corner of the first lap Sanna ends up on the ground, without consequences. The three-way race then continues with Bincoletto in the lead and Arri who with a strong attack overtakes Zedde and climbs into second position. Arri also tries to approach Bincoletto who, however, controls the race well and finishes it victorious in first position.

Order of arrival: 1 A. Bincoletto on the 90s; 2 F. Arri on Veleno; 3 G. Zedde on Last Minute; NC C. Sanna on Don Raffaele (shaken)

II DRY RUN

3 Napoleon – G. Zedde

20 Michelino – S. Nieddu

7 Domingo – S. Mulas

16 Encantadora – C. Sanna

After a first false move, a problem with the rope and a subsequent false start, the start arrives which sees Mulas take the lead ahead of Nieddu, Sanna and Zedde. Between the second and third lap Nieddu attempted a couple of attacks along the outside lines on Mulas who, however, defended his first position. Nieddu is thus in turn attacked by Sanna, internally, and by Zedde, externally, who overtake him. Zedde also tries to attack Sanna from the outside who resists in second position. The tussle for the backup positions allows Mulas to keep the lead without major worries, thus going on to win the race.

Order of arrival: 1 S. Mulas on Domingo; 2 C. Sanna on Encantadora; 3 G. Zedde on Napoleon; 4 S. Nieddu on Michelino

III DRY RUN

8 Giolino – F. Fabbri

15 Bullet – N. Farnetani

Two false starts before the start which sees Nieddu exit ahead of Fabbri who, however, thanks to the innermost line, takes the lead at the first corner. Nieddu attempts numerous attacks along external lines, always repelled by Fabbri who keeps his head. In the final lap Nieddu loses pace and is overtaken internally by Zedde and externally by Farnetani. In the final meters Zedde also attempted an attack on Fabbri who managed to defend his first position and win the race.

Order of arrival: 1 F. Fabbri on Giolino; 2 G. Zedde on Cheddar; 3 N. Farnetani on Bullet; 4 S. Nieddu su Lalù

For all the laps of the race Zedde controlled first position, while Carboni kept second firmly, fending off Bincoletto’s attacks. At the finish line Zedde thus wins the last race of the day ahead of Carboni.

Order of arrival: 1 G. Zedde on Chain Breaker; 2 G. Coals on Shave; 3 A. Bincoletto on Montecristo; 4 S. Mulas on Dynamite
