The penultimate day of the Serie D Group I championship was played.
Trapani achieved an important away victory, thus maintaining their position at the top of the table. Siracusa also showed great offensive strength, scoring four goals against Akragas.
Finally, Vibonese secured a place in the playoffs with an away win over Portici, consolidating third place and gaining the advantage of playing at home in the playoff semi-final.
In the playoffs it’s a brawl. Sant’Agata beats Ragusa in the direct match and rises to 5th place; immediately behind are Real Casalnuovo and Acireale, winners and at -1; followed by Ragusa at 50, who however finished the championship as they will rest for the next round. Three teams in one point and only one place available. And Sant’Agata and Real Casalnuovo face Trapani (in Sicily) and Syracuse respectively in the last round, although they are already certain of Serie C and qualification for the playoffs.
