He wasn’t just a visionary entrepreneur: Gianpietro Benedetti he was also a promoter of Udine contributing to recover and enhance the historical architectural heritage of the city. From the renovation of the facades of the Castle, to the restoration of the Angel to that of the fountain in Piazza San Giacomo, passing through the arrangement of the statues in Piazza Libertà and the Loggia di San Giovanni, not to mention the redevelopment of the former Dormisch.
A bond with Udine, which in January 2023 earned him the nomination as an honorary citizen. “An important and unexpected recognition – Bendetti commented on that occasion -, a demanding recognition and I feel it as something that will invite us to do more and do better. Of course there is one question of affection, I was born in via della Vigna – he said -, but there is also more. By inviting people from anywhere in the world to Udine, they generally have a positive impression of the city and this is by no means insignificant. Instinctively, during the visit we associate the dignity of the environment to the possible quality of the work and the credibility of the company. The socio-cultural context where a company grows matters. And so with a commercial attitude I looked around, to maintain a positive vision for the customers who visit us.
