Yesterday was played, in all probability, the most important match of the season Bari: a fundamental crossroads, which the red and whites would have had to win to hope for salvation. Instead, the cockerels sensationally missed the opportunity against a direct competitor, the Cosenzawho deservedly won the match by winning 4-1.
Precisely on the occasion of the most important match, Bari suffered, for the first time this season, four goals in a single game. The first two goals came in the first part of the match: in the fifth minute Mazzocchi and in the seventeenth Tutino, one of the former players, assisted by another old acquaintance from Bari, Marras. The third goal, the one that took away any hope of a comeback for Bari who had managed to close the gap with Nasti, is an authentic masterpiece from a free kick by Calò. The fourth, which arrived with the Galletti with ten men due to Bellomo’s expulsion, was a tap-in by Forte.
It is not the first time, however, that the cockerels have lost with three goals difference in this championship. There are two precedents: the first dates back to November 25th, at home, against Venice. The lagoon players won 3-0 thanks to goals from Pierini in the first half and from Tessmann and Dembelè in the final. The second, however, is on February 2nd away against Palermo: at the Barbera, the rosanero beat Bari with goals from Ranocchia, Ceccaroni and Segre.
