A light wind of 7 knots and a splendid sunny day accompanied the last of the four April events of the Spring Offshore Sailing Championship organized by the Circolo Nautico Pescara 2018 in collaboration with the La Scuffia sailing club and, in yesterday’s regatta , also together with the Circolo Nautico “V. Migliori” of Giulianova, always under the aegis of the IX Zone FIV Abruzzo and Molise.
The winner of the 3rd Spring Trophy, after the coastal sailing between Pescara and Giulianova, among around 40 boats is “Movida jr” (CV La Scuffia) owned by the owner Pierpaolo Petrelli, who reached the finish line first but above all had acquired the best scores in both real time and compensated time. Members of the crew were the two Petrelli father and son (Ivo and Pierpaolo), Massimo Lachi, Giancarlo Casuscelli, Ugo Arlini and Matteo Pagliuca who, satisfied, raised the cup given to the president of CN Migliori Enrico Orsini in the awards ceremony which took place yesterday evening inside the welcoming Giulianova club, after a convivial fish dinner. Prizes also went to the first three classified in each sailing category: in class A the winner was “Celeste 2” of the owners D’Annunzio and Mori, followed by “MGS” of the president of the CNP Alessandro Pavone and “Machi”; in category B, “Movida jr” by Petrelli takes another cup while “Adelante” by Giovanni Gaspari and “Bluna” by Carlo Pasetti came second and third respectively; category C first “Mascè” by Casuscelli followed by “Liberty” by Di Nicolantonio and “Fengh Shui” by Davide Moscano. Satisfied with the excellent success of the event, thanks also to a concrete union between Abruzzo clubs, the two members of the CNP2018 Matteo Ricucci and Gaetano Nazzaro (delegates for the organization of this competition in particular) who also thanked the Giulianova port authority for having granted free use of the berths. As always, those who support the sailing activity of the Pescara 2018 Nautical Club, namely Banca Generali Private and Vittoria RMS, should not be forgotten – said the president of the Circolo Nautico Pescara 2018 Alessandro Pavone. In the next event, 11 and 12 May, sails will be headed towards Vasto with the “Regatta dei Trabocchi”, the coastal sailing between Pescara and Vasto, which sees the collaboration of the two clubs CNP 2018 and Circolo Nautico Vasto.
