RIETI – Cantalice goes down after five consecutive useful results: on the Vjs Velletri pitch it ends 2-1. A result that does not weigh on the Rieti team’s balance sheet as they are already safe.
The race
Cantalice takes the field well and holds their own against Vjs Velletri for a good part of the first half when they also hit a post with Lorenzo Mostarda on a free kick then in the final the home team’s goal.
In the second half the Romans doubled their lead. Cantalice drops with the match pace, Angelo Pompei makes his debut, Cantalice’s second goalkeeper and many young people on the pitch. In the final, Santarelli’s goal closes the gap.
The statements of president Franco Panfilo
«It was clear that it was a match where they had more motivation than us. We were in balance for a good part of the first half then once they found the goal, in the second half we went down, even the warm accomplice led to the doubling. Many kids made their debut and we are happy for them.”
