CATANIA – Thanks to victory yesterday against Benevento 1-0Catania will play i Serie C play-offs keeping that Serie B dream afloat which still seems very far away.
Play-off mission for Catania
Despite the thirteenth place in the ranking, the Italian Serie C Cup allowed the Etna team to continue their journey.
The Serie C regulations allowed the mister’s squad Zeols to qualify for the playoffs despite the position that would have led the Sicilian team to conclude the tournament already yesterday.
When will it be played?
The red and blues, winning the Italian Serie C Cuphave the right to participate in the first national round. But When will the play-offs be played?
We will have to wait a few weeks, but the Catania will take the field between Saturday 11 May and Tuesday 14 Maydays in which the home and away matches of the first national round will take place.
Second national round which will be staged on May 18th and 21st. Semifinals which will be divided between 25 and 28 May (round trip) and then move on to finals which will take place over the course of a week (2 and 9 June).
Who could catch Catania
Together with Catania there will be the three teams classified in third place, as well as those who qualified from the previous rounds.
Depending on how the other rounds of Group C go, theopponent of the Etna could be one between Taranto, Casertana, Latina, Picerno, Giugliano, Audace Cerignola and Crotone. Be careful because as it is the first national round you could also challenge teams from other groups.
