NOVARA – FIORENZUOLA 0-0 (on the pitch from 4.30pm)

Last 90′ before the playouts for Fiorenzuola, who on Sunday afternoon (kick-off at 4.30pm) close the regular season with a trip to the Novara pitch. A challenge that could arise again in the salvation play-offs: the Piedmontese (fourth last at 40 in the standings) precede the Rossoneri by two points and are in turn two points behind the fifth-last Pergolettese and are currently safe without going through the play-outs, given the ten points behind the penultimate Pro Sesto. With a success, Fiorenzuola would overtake Novara in the standings, thus being able to count on a better positioning in the playout key (the return match would be played at Pavesi and the Rossoneri would have two results out of three available in the double match to save themselves); if instead the Piedmontese came out on top and at the same time Pergolettese failed to overcome Giana in the last round, it would be the Crema team that would compete for their stay in Serie C with Fiorenzuola.

For the away match in Novara Tabbiani will not be able to count full-back Maffei (suspended) as well as the injured Di Quinzio, Gentile, Gonzi and Nava, who ended the season early; Nelli and Reali, who have served the suspension imposed by the sports judge, are back at their disposal. “The performance against Padova was positive – said the Rossoneri coach at the end of last Saturday’s match -, now we go to Novara and we will try to do our best to obtain an important result. There will then be two more matches in which we will play everything: we must be aware that we did well in the second round, with 24 points won. Against Padova we played in an organized manner, as a team, it’s the right attitude to face the last three matches. We are ready for the final rush.”

Novara comes from a 2-2 draw at Triestina. In the first leg at Pavesi, Giacomo Gattuso’s team won 2-1 thanks to goals from Scappini and Corti; Alberti’s late goal was useless.
