MONTORIO AL VOMANO – The Swimming Trophy was held at the Municipal Swimming Pool of Montorio al Vomano “City of Montorio”, an event of regional importance, organized by Virtus Buonconvento in collaboration with the Asd Virtus Swim Project and the Italian Sports Center and with the patronage of the Municipality of Montorio al Vomano and the Interamnia UNVS Valter Di Mattia.
The races were held in the following distances: born between 2018 and 2015 they competed over 25 metres; born from 2014 onwards on 50 metres; relay races born 2016-2015 (Propaganda) 4x25m; relay teams born 2014-2013 (Rookies B) 4x25m.
During the event, the Teramo section of the National Union of Sports Veterans, Interamnia Valter Di Mattia, represented by the Secretariat Rita Catelli and his partner Erika De Cerchiohanded over the Cup and certificates for the “Young Athlete Award”, respectively, to GM of Club Acquatica Pescara, to EP of Virtus Montorio and to CM of L’Aquila Swimming.
“No one ever said swimming was easy. But it’s worth it”. David Mastroiannithe President of the Interamnia UNVS Valter Di Mattia, quotes a famous phrase from Michael Phelps. “We are a section that was recently founded, but with a long way to go. We have rewarded those who have a lot ahead of them, but already know their goal… to grow to give their best, not only in sport, but in their personal life journey. It is an important day for all these young champions of the future, where it is not just about winning or participating, but about having fun“.
