Paola Roma has formalized her candidacy as mayor of Ponte di Piave for the third term.

PONTE DI PIAVE (TV) – Paola Roma is running again with her list Live Ponte. The official announcement comes from the construction site of the athletics track of the Tumiotto stadium (financed with ministerial funds), one of the ongoing works of her mandate that the first citizen wants to carry forward in the coming years. “The citizens ask me, we want to continue working for the community of Ponte and its surroundings – explains Roma – strengthened by a closed budget without debt and with a surplus of 590 thousand euros which will allow us to invest further”.

Paola Roma underlined how, in recent years, the management of the Municipality has been characterized by a spirit of service and sacrifice, which has led to significant results. It highlighted the recovery of over 2.9 million euros in funding for public works by higher bodies, such as the Province, Region, Government and European Funds. This approach has made it possible to carry out various projects without burdening the Municipality’s budget and, above all, without increasing taxes for the citizens of Ponte. Furthermore, he underlined that in the previous 10 years local taxes have remained constant, without undergoing any increase.

At the same time, “we have maintained and implemented services to citizens in the social sphere. Among the works underway, in addition to athletics track of Tumiotto financed with 470,000 euros by the Ministry of Sport (4th project classified at national level), there is the recovery of the Ex Cinema Luxor for 1.7 million financed by the Ministrythe redevelopment and efficiency improvement of the camp Negrisiathe creation of cycle paths, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings throughout the area, the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the lighting network, sports facilities and public buildings. An important sum that can now be used to continue the projects started, including cycle paths connecting the hamlets of Negrisia, Levada, Busco, San Nicolò and the capital”.

Roma also announced that the commitment to the hydrogeological safety of the territory will continue, starting from course of the Piave river and extending to the secondary network through maintenance work on canals and ditches, as well as through pruning of trees. The intention to continue action in the social sector was reiterated, with particular attention to support for families and essential services such as canteen and school transport, as well as support for voluntary and sporting associations. It was underlined that this commitment will also include contributions for expenses relating to utilities such as water, electricity and gas, in line with what has already been done previously.

“Great attention will be given to the world of young people, where we want to continue with civic education and active citizenship actions, the improvement of lifestyles, education to respect the environment and the community in which they live. Our focuses are family, safety and the environment, and more.” Closes Paola Rome: “There are many projects that we have in mind and that we want to carry forward with our energy, a compact and cohesive group, where there will be no shortage of new and young additions: ViviPonte, the energy that renews itself!”
