She suffered from hyperglycemia and hiatal hernia, she had first turned to her family doctor, then to an endocrinologist who after a few months had prescribed a gastroscopy.

The situation had not improved, in fact, to the point that the woman was admitted to the New Santa Rita clinic, where she was diagnosed with “diverticulosis in diverticulitis”, despite an abdominal CT scan, claims the 51-year-old, indicating presumed elements of suspected neoplastic disease .

The patient was discharged in May 2022, a month later she reached Padua, where she had fallen ill which required her to be transferred by ambulance to the central emergency room, which she subsequently left with a prescription for paracetamol for the pain. She had returned to Benevento, in July she had been very ill and had been transferred to San Pio, where her tests had revealed the presence of a pancreatic carcinoma which had now heavily metastasized.
