CALTANISSETTA. The City of Caltanissetta, but also the world of environmentalism at a provincial, regional and national level, is currently mourning the passing of Edoardo Bartolotta. He is a historic environmentalist from Nisseno who has linked his name to various environmental battles which, over the course of these decades, have characterized the Nisseno territory.
Edoardo Bartolotta, as Leandro Janni, president of Italia Nostra Sicilia, explained in a statement, died yesterday, Saturday 27 April 2024. Trained at the “Sebastiano Mottura” Educational Institute in Caltanissetta, he was a technical education teacher, environmentalist, president of the Nissena section of Italia Nostra, founder and director of the Monte Capodarso and Southern Imera Valley oriented nature reserve and national councilor of Italia Nostra.
In these hours there are many attestations of esteem and closeness to Bartolotta’s family from many people who appreciated not only his person but also his work.
