Michele Santoro risks not being able to present his list of candidates for the next European elections in the constituency of the islands of Sicily and Sardinia.
Therefore on social media he launched an appeal with which he literally asks for “help” from anyone to collect as many signatures as possible, given that at the moment he explains that he is at risk “for a few hundred signatures from Sardinia and Sicily, despite having collected more than 90 thousand ».
Santoro addresses both those who have followed him since the first steps of the “Peace, Earth and Dignity” list and those who have never agreed with him. The journalist asks for a hand, for example “from the communists and liberals who do not share my ideas on the war but realize their importance”.
It was among the latter that the leaders of Totò Cuffaro’s Christian Democracy made themselves heard, telling ANSA that they were ready to mobilize to help Santoro and collect the necessary signatures for him in the constituency of the islands.
The party of the former Sicilian governor will not be present with its symbol at the next European elections. Having failed all negotiations for a possible agreement with various parties, Cuffaro’s DC could decide in the next few days to support a candidate from an already existing list.
