A real “race within the race”, the confrontation between the Elbans, always ready in force for their race.
The best, after two quite eventful days, was Andrea Volpi, paired with Mei, on a Fabia Evo, also in ninth place overall.
A difficult start for them with a risky tire choice in the first phase. Then the rhythm resumed to end with a smile, thus redeeming the disappointment of 2023.
The first stages of the challenge, always in an “Elban key”, were characterized by the rhythm imposed by Francesco Bettini, with Luca Acri.
The driver from Portoferraio started with many unknowns, from making his debut with the Citroen C3 and with the new Indian MRF tires but above all with being in doubt about starting due to the after-effects of a domestic accident on his hand. he kept the pace of the best, only to give up on the second day due to the pain in his limb.
