The partial meetings of the Cremona Agricultural Consortium took place on Friday. Assemblies which sanctioned with a large plebiscite the victory of the Cap Cremona 24-26 list of Coldiretti Cremona, led by Giannenrico Spoldicurrent president of the Consortium.
Spoldi’s list obtained 1488 votes against the 730 of the list of the Free Farmers’ Association, thus giving a strong signal of continuity with the management and strategic choices of recent years, which have given the Consortium a leadership and coordination role in the agro supply chain -zootechnics, as well as a leading role in the development and strengthening of the Cremona and Lombardy territories.
In the next few days the Board of Directors will be called and will appoint the President and the Directors. On the agenda of the meetings, there was also the approval of the 2023 budget, characterized by a turnover, which for the ninth consecutive year, despite the difficulties due to the significant reduction in the prices of agricultural raw materials, marks a growth, reaching 322 million euros.
In particular, the livestock sector recorded an increase in volumes of approximately 16% and turnover of over 7%, the agronomic area recorded a +9%, while the machinery service closed with an increase of over 15% on the ‘last year. Also worth mentioning is the growth of the food sector with the Serene winery with +34% and the insurance sector with +16%.
